Justin originally from Waterbury, CT has dedicated the majority of his life to caring for others. At the age of 18, he became a certified nurse assistant and worked in skilled nursing facilities and people's homes, providing personalized care to children with special needs and older adults in Connecticut and Florida.
After graduating from the University of Connecticut's Baccalaureate nursing program in 2006, Justin focused on community health, particularly with individuals with special needs. However, he later decided to pursue a career in the emergency department at St Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut.
In 2010, Justin embarked on a journey as a travel nurse, working all over the United States. He had the opportunity to work with Indian Health Services in Barrow, Alaska and native populations in Hawaii and the Virgin Islands. He also worked in California, Texas, Wisconsin, and Massachusetts. During this time, he gained valuable experience in various healthcare settings, including emergency departments, critical care units, interventional cardiology and radiology recovery units, and COVID units. This diverse experience made him highly culturally competent and provided him with a deep understanding of the health challenges faced by different populations.
In 2015, Justin decided to further his education and enrolled at the University of South Alabama to become a nurse practitioner in family practice and adult acute care. He completed his studies in 2020, amidst the COVID pandemic, and continued to travel in California.
Following this, Justin had a realization and shifted his focus to preventative healthcare and health maintenance. As an avid fitness enthusiast, he leads an active lifestyle that includes hiking, sports, and weightlifting. His current goal is to educate and assist people in staying healthy, with the aim of helping them prevent chronic disease and acute crisis for as long as possible. Justin believes that getting back to the basics with exercise, proper sleep, and proper nutrition is the key to health. Quality of life is everything and modern medicine, pharmaceutical companies, and the food industry have failed the American public.
This philosophy led to the creation of the idea of "HotShots" - A company dedicated to education and the preservation of health and wellness of its clients through the use of safe, proven, and effective treatments.
